Trading in my Freight Dog License for a Corporate one

I've never flown anything as big as a King Air, but I have a B350 training poster and I see what you mean that the power levers have separate "Flight Idle" and "Ground Fine" detents (so there would be no way for the engine to "kick into ground fine" on the ground without moving the power levers to that detent). I know that at the lowest power settings on the PT6 the propeller falls below the constant speed range, so the power levers control both gas generator/turbine %RPM and propeller blade angle. So are you guys saying that on landing rollout with the power levers in Flight Idle, the airplane automatically detects weight on wheels (through squat switches on the gear maybe?) and flattens the propeller pitch from 12 degrees to 2 degrees automatically, causing a noticeable increase in deceleration? If I'm understanding that right, that's pretty cool! :)

Something I've learned from flying old freight planes is that detents wear down sometimes. It's something to pay close attention to. :)
 
As the most recent KA350 typed pilot, I should divulge my useless info before i forget it.

Flight Idle:12 deg
Ground Idle: 2deg
Ground Fine: -14 deg

In flight the "Prop follow ring" sets Flight Idle to 12 degrees. On the ground a squat switch moves the Beta valve, which moves the beta arm and resets the Prop follow ring to Ground Idle at 2 degrees. To go into ground fine you must lift the power levers over the gate and you have a variable pitch between (+2 and -14) with the engine at idle speed. Lifting the power levers over one more gate puts you into reverse which is -14 degrees pitch but you will get a rise in torque.
