Touring the Jacksonville location

Honestly the Location and Flordia as a whole is a very beauttiful state. Their airport location is alright, the entrance is on the side with barbed wire fences. Students are very friendly and offerd us rides to the beach and dinner when we were there. The instructors are a little more strict and different due to the bosses being there. Rich is a cool guy hes one of the chief pilots out there who fly with you before your solo, and your initial when you get hired as an instructor. Go pay a visit and see how it is anymore questions PM or IM me. best of luck!
 
Hey guys....the tour went great. I sat in one of the Seminoles there at CRG. The CitationJet was taking off as we pulled in. The guide was very knowledgeable and honest. His name was John..Amito?...it's written down somewhere. I didn't really learn all that much from the visit since I've exhausted pretty much every resource online researching it. That's not to say that the staff wasn't helpful, just that I think I've learned everything possible through these forums and the ATP forums.
The ground school area had just been painted. Looks nice. There was a newly bought Seminole in the hangar getting ready to have its engine and upholstery replaced. I used to fly out of CRG and it's a nice area. I love Jacksonville so the location is a plus. I didn't get a chance to make it out to the apartments, but the website for them looks nice. He said there are either 4 or 5 to an apartment or condo. Sometimes it's four students sharing two bedrooms or four students and one instructor sharing three bedrooms. I think living with an instructor would be a huge benefit, although as John said, I'm sure they won't want to be teaching all hours of the night at home as well as at work. All in all, it was a good visit and I can't wait to get my finances in order so that I can get down there. Let me know if you all have any questions I didn't cover.
 
How do you go about touring JAX? Just show up or do I have to call & schedule?

I would have to do mine on a Saturday and I'm hoping to catch James Krezminski there.

Yup, just call 1-800-255-2877. You won't see James, he doesn't work at the training center. But we're there 7 days a week. Just call and set up a tour. And bring lots of questions!
