Low&Slow

I finally started flying again after about a ten year break an added 38.5 TT, all ASEL 'cause that's how I roll! Flew a Skyhawk, Archer, Warrior, Arrow I (180), Arrow III (201), Pitts S2C, and a Cirrus SR22, not necessarily in that order.
After getting proficient again (more or less), and getting comfortable flying from the right seat, I took several hours of aerobatic instruction in a Pitts S2C. I did loops, barrel rolls, aileron rolls, spins, hammerheads, and torque rolls. I started picking it up pretty well, but it was eating my budget at an alarming rate, so I stopped and went back to work on my CFI.
I'll have to make another allowance in my budget next summer to get back to the aerobatics. I loved it! Maybe try to find a Decathlon or something a little less expensive next time. The Pitts is a real kick in the ass though! Never had so much fun and been so sick at the same time before. haha!
December-February wx in Michigan sux. So, taking a break from the CFI training and any flying until around March or April due to wx, reconstructive shoulder surgery, and physical therapy afterwards. Need the surgery, so might as well get it done while the wx is crap.
My goal next year is to add 200 hrs TT, plus CFI, CFII, MEI, and tailwheel endorsement. I know that's a lot, especially since I'll be recovering from surgery for at least the first half of the year, but I need to push myself hard so I can get it all done ASAP.
