Total Airframe Time

Just wondering if anyone can explain the meaning of Total Airframe Time? Does it have to do with the Flight Time or Airtime?

Thanks

Simply the total flight time recorded on that aircraft. As opposed to time on the engine, prop, or other components.

There are a few airplanes out there with CRAZY amounts of time on the airframe. Most of our Caravans have 12-14,000 hours on them. I've heard about a 172 with 42K on the airframe. There are DC-3s that have been constanly working since WW2.
