Tooting my own horn here.. Flew the Hawker left seat yesterday!

After 3 legs of flying yesterday, we had an empty leg returning to home base. Upon entering the aircraft, after my pre-flight, I found the captain (also our chief pilot) sitting in the right seat. I asked him if he remembered who he was flying with, and he said yes and pointed to the left seat.

It was a great experience getting to fly from the left seat! The pivotal place of the universe.

That was my first time doing so outside of the sim.

Aircraft is a Hawker 700.

Yes it does! It was the toughest thing to get used to!

Thanks man! Surprisingly it was one of my better landings. But the taxiing was pretty rocky

I was very thankful that we didn't have any passengers on board the first time I lurched around the airport in a Hawker.

At V1 he decided to move his hand from the yoke back to the tiller while keeping his other hand on the throttles. It was at that time I lost all hope.

Lol, bet it made for a smoooth lift off.

One of the first left seat takeoffs in the HS125 I moved my hand from the throttles to the yoke at the 80 knots call. Whoops. And taxiing doesn't get much smoother even with experience. I've also found the airplane very easy to land in a crosswind, just don't let the 700 get too slow. It has a short stubby wing (at least compared to the 800). You can easily land it at ref+10.
