I don't watch modern marvels but I did see an advertisement for this program on the history channel tonight (12/6/06). Somewht curious about what they will say about the crash. Probably won't watch it anyways.

Modern Marvels doesn't do as well a job covering crashes like Air Emergency, but lots of good info is relayed. The only thing that may bug you is that Modern Marvels' main focus is on technology, so if they used some super-duper piece of equipment in the investigation, they could spend 15 minutes showcasing that super-duper piece of equipment then get back to the crash.

seconds from disaster does a great job in my opinion. thats just be though please dont throw stones.

I saw the seconds from disaster last week for AA 191 (DC-10 ORD 1979 engine falls off on takeoff). Very interesting as to the info provided how timing back at the maintenance base caused the accident, pilots did EXACTLY what they were trained to do, and it was NOT what they needed to do, but didnt know that.

I caught that show too. It was very well done! I was 9 when that crash happend and I remember driving to Woodfield Mall with my dad and seeing the huge plume of smoke. I remember him saying "that's by the airport, hope it's not a plane crash". Obviously found out later that night it was.

Has anyone caught that new show (cant remember the name of it) I think its called Dogfight. It animates true dogfighting stories from WWII to the present with comentary by the pilots. Its a great show.
