Soul Brotha'
Off to go do Black guy stuff
I was a commuter. For me it did not suck. There were about 20 flights a day that went from MCO to the NYC airports and vise versa. But this is not the norm. I'm based in my home city now and I love it. I was a line holder up in NYC but now I'm on reserve. Truly I couldn't care less. I know that when I drive to work I do not have to worry about making a flight to work or coming home the same situation. QOL is the biggest thing for me. Your a family man so I think it would mean the same to you.
P.S. like Doug said, trying to commute on an RJ is Luda!!!! There have been times where we had to leave a fellow pilot trying to commute because we were to heavy. It sucks telling the guy/gal that they can't join us.
