Never saw those ATIS remarks before... What is the significance of it?

I would guess that those are the current ATIS. For instance ATIS India, ATIS gulf, etc.

I've never seen that before either on the METAR but the pilots do have report that they have the current ATIS.

I've seen some pretty funky and funny things in ATIS remarks.

I thought the whole point of not including the identifier was so that you actually *have* to listen to the ATIS, which includes notams not in the metar.

it is just so pilots can advise they have the most current info. if they say they have information romeo when information sierra is current atc will tell them to go back and listen again
