Tired of Quicken. What else is out there?

Do not want any budget whatsoever. Just an aggregator of current balances.

As others have said, look into Mint. You just give it your username and password for your online banking accounts and it does the rest for you. For me, it aggregates 4 bank accounts, 3 credit cards, and 2 retirement accounts. Very slick and very free.

Mint doesn't care about the budget if you don't. It has a wealth of trending income, spending, net values, monthly net incomes.

My wife and I have about a couple k we budget for and an extra k of slush that we review every 3 to six months to anaylse where's its going. Vacations, general shopping, clothes, insurance payments, it all trends and helps us understsnd what sort of income we must generate to have x, y, z.

@Derg why do you loathe intuit?

Sktetchy Mac support, Crippleware, forcing you into updates for Quickbooks with no additional features. Quicken, oh ho ho, man, that's a train wreck on Mac as well. I used to use their credit card services and that is a speech in itself.

... so the problem is the mac?

I use Quicken purely as a register. I signed up for their portfolio tracking some years back, and immediately starting getting cold calls from penny stock boiler room operations. So much for that.

Moneydance http://infinitekind.com/moneydance is a similar program, but likely more reputable. I just have too much data to change over.

I'm sure Mint is fine, but there are security issues with turning over all your passwords to a third party. Y'all be careful ... :)

Of course, ,there are weekly security breaches anyway, so worrying about this is about like complaining about a thunderstorm whilst traversing a minefield.

Parroting what you said about weekly security breaches, if anyone thinks they havent been hacked or had data stolen in the past you're naive, the saving grace is that most hacks take SO much information you'll get lost in the piles of crap data about you.

Mint.com caused issues for me. It kept locking me out of BoA's website which meant it also stopped updating my credit card. I don't know if they fixed it but it seemed to cause more issue than help.

Once Apple went to Intel processors Windows and Mac became two sides of the same coin. I used to take good-natured shots at Mac folks myself, but it's no fun anymore. :(
You need to transition to bashing iOS people instead. ;)

That could be BOA's problem. From what I've heard, it's possible.

Yeah, but then I'd be bashing myself ... :)
