Timmy's baaack...

Ancient history, don't ask, just forgive and forget.

Where is any of that being done? They still live with who they made themselves out to be. It's their history, that they made their bed with.

But if it would make you feel better to go to their home, drag them out to the street, and have a public execution over what is (unless they're continuing it) history, then by all means, do so. Or if internet stalking and making ninja threats and tough guy posts on FB or message boards or whatever like some others I see are doing in various places would be better, that's your call. But none of that is going to change who someone is. Only they can change that. They were led to the water when they were outed. Whether or not they choose to drink it and take advantage of it, will be only something they do or don't do.

Using the logic of some, I might as well head down to the local sushi restaurant, go inside, and go beat up the Japanese owner and his family, because of that whole Baatan death march thing from a while back.

That's right, we all use the same logic widget for every situation. I endorse beating Japanese car wash owners for hiring Timmy Martins to march US Marines to death.

The point is the idea of history, and at what point battles that have been won, can be placed where they belong. Which is a concept I know you understand, even with the comment above.

I just hope Martins has learned his lesson. And for whatever reason that he isn't or wasn't happy with what he was doing in life, that he's figured that out and placed himself on his own straight course. What's not understandable was that he was already in a respectable career, doing good work and making an honest living, flying at Eagle. Why need to embellish on that, and to the degree of outlandishness that he did? But who knows what motivates people like this....same with TomCatter, same with Air Algerie. Far beyond just a Walter Mitty-esqe dream of being something bigger, in their mind.

Time will tell. Maybe all of them have changed their course, or maybe not. If not, it will be apparent sometime soon. People like that can only stay off the negative radar for so long before needing attention once again.

Right but you give no attention or consideration to history, once something hits the past tense, it's literally over for you. There's a wide gap in forgiveness across a wide range of human beings that depends on everyones measure of time. Yours happens to be wildly short, mine might be a little long.

It might seem like I'm skipping your point, but considering the number of times you've beat that drum and I've disagreed I hope you can understand why I jump to the next point quickly.

Anyway, it is more than a page in, time to make some reference about how low grade the posts have been in the Airline Pilots section of the forum and we can all roll our eyes and move on.

There's complete consideration to history here. Nothing has been erased or changed with what Martins did. He did it. He did it to himself. He was rightfully called out on it, and the truth brought to light. Nothing has been excused or forgiven necessarily, on that.

The question is though, when is that debt paid, so to speak? Even though that doesn't ever excuse what he did; there is a time where life has to go on. IF he starts doing what he was doing again, then thats him starting a war again......and whatever fallout or return fire comes back his way, so be it. He brought it back upon himself, if he goes back to his old ways.

But like I said on the previous page, barring him repeating his previous crap, there's no reason he shouldn't be able to go on with life and do things right for himself (assuming he does). So he appeared in some company publication....big deal. If he was again claiming to be an F-16 pilot, then sure, it would indeed be a big deal. But he appeared in some publication, and the dogs of war came rolling in from whatever hole they were living in, and began attacking from all sides. How does that look? Not very good from their end.

Rewatch the Rambo clip I posted. While Rambo's points are all valid and true, Trautman is correct that none of that excuses what Rambo was doing right then, in that town. Hence, "the war is over."

Anyway, it is more than a page in, time to make some reference about how low grade the posts have been in the Airline Pilots section of the forum and we can all roll our eyes and move on

When you revert to this passive aggressive crap, is when the eye rollover occurs. Whatever personal issue you have and have had with me, it doesn't make you look good.

Funniest thing is, you don't even have a dog in the Martins fight, if you want to get to brass tacks. Martins wasn't claiming to be a regional pilot, he was claiming to be a fighter pilot. If anyone has a dog in this fight, its me. I was pissed. And the situation was handled. I've moved on.

Oh I hope your done editing, otherwise if you correct yourself ill basically look like Im rambling.

Firstly (working bottom to top), Timmah didn't just pretend to be the fighter pilot but clearly that's all that's on your mind. He claimed to be many different pilots including a regional pilot, ACA or Indy or something. So even in your example, and in your world, I get to be angry. That's your problem though, you can't accept people act and think differently so you need to exclude them. I understand you don't think it's healthy or wise or whatever. I hope you can see why I don't enjoy your reasoning. What if you were the opposite and said everyone, passenger or pilot, should be angry at this kid? Maybe you just fail to understand other peoples fear and hostility toward a compulsive liar because it's unsettling. Clowns like that need a scarlet letter until they take meds and stay on them. The guy and his actions just give me the damn creeps.

Second verse, same as the first: the guy claimed to be a firefighter for NYC during the twin towers attack (the only reason the story made it to the national media) are you really pretending you get to be the final judge on who gets to be angry at Timmy, shouldn't the NYC fire dept get the only vote. We should stop the calvacade of a thread immediately and get the opinion of the only people that matter, the NYC fire dept. How preposterous do I have to make this?

Secondly, just trying to highlight, again, you need new material (referencing the repetition of your posts). Don't like the 'passive aggressive' tone? No prob, I've got a whole wagon of tricks. Normally I'd pull out my meme for "that word doesn't mean what you think it means", but instead I'll just say passive aggressive means I would have to not point out those things that bother me and instead act out in some other way like ignoring you or picking on something like your grammar.

Thirdly, we've had this conversation many times (gojets about 3 different ways) about when does the 'debt get paid' so to speak. Don't know exactly chief, but isn't that more the other persons choice. If other people get a vote, shouldn't it be more than just you?

I accept people who are different all the time. I'm just trying to help you out with your anger overriding your better judgement on this issue. But hey.....you want to consume yourself with it, you want to raise your blood pressure over it, go right ahead. No skin off my hide. I honestly don't care. Be angry, be pissed. Do you really think Martins cares or is affected by how pissed off you are? If anything, THAT should be your barometer.

Are you a firefighter? Because I have been for 25 years now. While I appreciate you being pissed off on my behalf, I assure you, it's entirely unnecessary. Sure, this is another thing that's pissed me off about Martins. But again, it's been handled. And for the record, its not "NYC fire dept", its FDNY....if any of them want or don't want to be pissed about it, thats on them. I have my vote on the matter, and Ive stated it as such, as someone who holds that qualification. In fact....and truth be told.....on this particular subject of firefighters, I would say it is YOU who has no say or vote on the matter.

Joe, I'll come out and be direct. You've had some personal problem with me and my existance for a long time. I don't know what your major malfunction is and why you feel the need to constantly attack me with passive aggressive crap, like you're doing here. Jealousy, contempt, whatever is your problem; you need to seriously unscrew yourself. Because your attitude towards me and anything I write goes beyond simple disagreement; you have some personal dislike, vendetta, or who knows what; none of which I have given towards you, and none of which I really honestly care about, apart from morbid curiousity. So unscrew yourself.

Thirdly, we've had this conversation many times about when does the 'debt get paid' so to speak. Don't know exactly chief, but isn't that more the other persons choice. If other people get a vote, shouldn't it be more than just you?

I simply post my opinion on the matter. Take my advice to the bank, or flush it down the toilet. I really don't care. No one is forcing you to do what I say. So why you are so damn angry and off your rocker about it, is perplexing.

Rewatch the Rambo clip. And try to actually take it to heart. Or not. Up to you. Live your life pissed off at the world. And enjoy a coronary in your mid-40s.

Martins' problem isn't a forgive and forget thing... He keeps popping up on the internet and bringing attention to himself! If he'd just lay low he'd be fine, but he apparently finds that impossible.

I completely agree. Not the best idea to be in the limelight or place yourself there. However at the same time, not necessarily illegal to do so; and so long as he's not pulling his same crap from before, then to me, he's no threat to anything. He's not worth my time to get upset over or try and chase around. And I guarantee nothing about his history has been forgotten or disappeared, nor should it; it's just not worth getting worked up over I don't believe. If Talon Air or whoever wants to invest in him, that's their problem. Not mine.

That said, in my opinion, if he starts his old ways up again, then he will again get what's coming to him. And he will deserve every bit of it.

Until that time, going after him on the internet or stalking/bullying him whatever like some have been on FB and such, is a surefire way to open up oneself to some serious legal trouble. Is that worth it? Over this guy? Not to me.

But that's just me. [disclaimer made for jynxyjoe, lest he somehow assumes that my personal opinion on the matter is akin to me holding a cyber-gun to his head and forcing him to follow it, giving him no choice or latitude in the matter and completely disregarding his outlook or feeling on it].

I notice you don't care so much you wrote a book. I can't say much because look at my reply hu? I can't go multiquoting this whole thing so I'll try to work chronologically and you take what you want out of it.

I have to try to get in your shoes a bit here, so I'm going to explain my logic. I'm this super angry (only at MikeD I'm guessing) poster on JC who has a secret/notsosecret vendetta against you, so there has to be a level of obsession or something on my part? I'm off my rocker and therefore I can't be reasoned with or logical about any of this, right? Alright, so illogical angry guy just after you (you're the victim in this case, though I suppose that makes perfect sense to you) and holy crap we don't want to ban jackapes here that everyone can see is a jackape, so I'll continue at this until my heart explodes from anger and in your world you'll live on in a state of nirvana. OK. So when this post is done, I'll just put you on the ignore list.

Hopefully you're not one of those that thinks the ignore function is stupid on this board, it was very handy for CC for a while and especially for the DATA///Qutch (. .). However, short of leaving (and I'm probably an addict on some level) this makes the most sense. My reasoning would be, if it was a living room and two of us can't get along we just stop talking. It's tough because the stuff you say is so silly sometimes (my pov) that I am complelled to say something. So that's my problem, so when I hit ignore, that removes the problem. After I submit (and of course find that one stupid edit I find right after I hit submit), I'll be just a minute, and your years long nightmare will be over.

The NYC fire fighter reference was actually excluding you, since you arent' a FDNY, even though you are FD somewhere. So when you took up the war ax (or crash ax as it happens to be) you kind of ran over my point... while sort of adding more fuel to the fire but that's up to other readers to decide. My point was you come up with weird ways of excluding people who are angry about a subject, and it's just arbitrary enough to be a little nutty/annoying (plus logically perplexing sometimes). I guess my imitation of you, annoyed you... that's fitting. Honestly... It was the best part. I admit it, I enjoyed reading your chapter on the FD. I guess I was so subtle you completely blew over it in your rush to give me your resume. No I'm not a firefighter, I wouldn't know what size wrench to use on a fire hydrant. I know my dog pees on them and dirty water comes out of them at first before it gets clean, those might be related but I'm just guessing, not a plummer either.

It seems like you're saying I've been doing this exact thing for years (which would be ironic in this case because of my war drum reference directed at you... look I know it's a lot of parenthesis here but let's face it, the more I explain for you the better results on the comprehension side I expect to get on your end. You've blown past my points so often that I've had to look at it weighingly. I figure about 50% of the time it is on accident, the other 50% you're just skipping it because of other reasons. I'm talking about for a while now, not only the most recent.). If true, my apologies, I thought it was only within the last couple months I'd been noticing it and chirping on you. As for being direct with me... I'm direct with you pretty often (at least I feel like it) and it seems like you obfuscate regularly. From my seat, I bring up good points and you ignore them and move on. I let it go because I figure I've made my point, clearly you've read it, and you've not disagreed or objected so maybe you're thinking about it and after a while thinking to yourself, "Yeah, fine maybe he's right" or "Man what a tool but at least I did read what he wrote". Maybe it's more like ships in the fog passing in the night, to me it's just you ducking. I can really only judge from my seat, and like you, I calls 'dem like I sees 'dem. Furthermore it seems silly that I write a logical, concise response (this isn't an example of that, but give me a break it's my last chapter with you)- with some humor for levity I might add!- and you read it as (or more likely paint it as) I'm losing my mind and getting a heart attack. I'm so lost on that one I am unable to make ends meet. I'm throwing my hands up figuratively. Also, I've lived in New England, longest longevity for retired groups in the US(at least for the retired age group in NE vs the southern retired population) and they are the angriest people on Earth (the Maine'ers kinda throw off the curve but I stand behind back of the envelope math), so I'm not so sure anger is the ultimate poisin. It was why I left (and the weather... no the taxes were ok when I was up there paying them although I didn't always feel that way).

You don't just post up an opinion, you drone, and your tone sucks. Maybe to you it's more like telling everyone to stop running around with sissors, idk. It just seems like it's all the time now. I opened up one thread about, God who knows what when it's JC, and you broke in with "it's like the airline pilots section in here now". Firstly, the reference is stupid because it's more hyperbole, but even if it wasn't to make your point you're assuming everyone has read your drumming (and droning) over the last couple months on the forum about how the airline pilots section always seems to goto crap. Good GOD we get it Mike, we bitch a lot. Not every thread hits the wall, but the Lav used to be like that, what's the big deal? We're pilots, we whine more than the jet engine. I don't think it's gonna change for a long time, probably after airline pilots are replaced with computers. In the meantime your railing against the wind. Any chance we get we're gonna stomp on Timmy Martins a bit it's gonna happen. let's face it, the guy's weird and needs a bell on him. Go Jet's is a crap situation and I'm gonna gripe about it. You're going to continue nagging for good reasons but in a silly annoying way. I can't fix everything, but this is within my power to fix from my screen. I'm a generous god (meme again).

Well it's not personal, or anger, but I won't be rewatching the Rambo clip because I've seen it on TBS a million times. I can't do it by heart but I've got the gyst. I really question your depth when I'm going to take a movie quote to heart and apparently let go of this torch that I'm holding (or whatever I'm doing in your world). This is all a little silly, and exageratted (I know I know I'm saying it a lot). It's an old movie that has become a motion picture cliche, not earth shattering in meaning although it has some relevance I suppose... but you'd have to consider from the outside looking in this is a stupid "lesson" because there's two more (3?) vengance based movies with the Rambo title after that one, with the same actor doing the same shtick with bigger budgets and bigger guns.

This deserves it's own paragraph: Also, I have a personal problem with your existence? Really? I have a problem with you breathing? This is what goes on in your head on that side of the screen. From my side of the screen my jaw drops open and my head tilts How much hyperbole can you insert into single thread? The answer? Who cares.

Since this will be the end, I'd only say that trying to exaggerate the other persons viewpoint and extrapolating to a perposterous end may not be the only way to disagree with someone. I try to use that example constantly to show how silly it is, hoping you'd see that and say, "yeah maybe I overuse that a little". Not trying to change your world here, just trying to end on a somewhat even handed tone.

Dueces and bye bye (until the afore mentioned edits to my post later on becaues I saw something else I wanted to change again).

LOL. You actually can't put an admin on ignore? Alright, my solemn vow, I just skip over your posts from now on.

Side note, that seems like silly design choice. I guess I'll just have to put on my big boy pants and roll my eyes without comment on the thread.
