Just got awarded ORD Capitan for a 16 July class date! Time to start working on new flows and reviewing systems!

Tim - we are losing a ton of captains in Denver right now to other airlines and a lot more are interviewing. I am hoping it won't be too far into 2008 before I get based back home. There are currently about 50 folks on the transfer list, but they usually seem to do lots of transfer at a time for DEN. So the fingers are crossed!

Also as soon as United starts to hire, the feeling is there will be a mass exodus of not only SKYW captains, but a lot of DEN guys want United :)

Did you see that a 5/06 hire was awarded ORD CA as well? That's like a 54 week upgrade...crazy.

HA! I look forward to flying with you if we can! I won't be online until the first of September or so, depending on the backlog for IOE then :)

My hire date was 09/2005 so a little under 2 years. The uber junior guy must have came from somewhere else?!

My transfer isn't effective until 9/1 (awarded on 4/25? how'd that happen?) so we'll probably show up around the same time. I'm thinking the real junior guy must have come from another airline and had the 1000 crew before anyone else was available...

If you wait a while for IOE, are you going to pick up FO open time at CA JRM pay? I've got a friend who passed his type ride three weeks ago and has made almost 10 grand since then...but I'm lazy, so I'd probably take the paid vacation.
 
Yeah I am torn b/w a vacation and CA JRM pay. Depends if the wife has some time off to travel and how good the mountain biking is then :)

We need to make up for lost ground on financial stuff so I might do a bit of both if the opportunity presents itself.
 
Great job! I'll see you there later this year, most likely. I've got my bid in but I have to wait for my seat lock to come up as well as I am still only 2200TT. DOH!

It's come down quite a bit, especially for Captains. I waited just over 2 weeks and my Fed Ride/Line Check is on Tuesday. Guys coming out now are going in about a week and a half. They're in a big hurry to fix out staffing crunch.

Congrats Bike!! The left seat is a challenge, but it sure is fun.
