Thunderstorms and the havoc they wreak...

that doesnt seem right at all. I cant think think of a situation of where a storm cell would catch an airplane, and on top of that it looks like he was doubling back towards it a couple of times, after he had already flown through one of the cells.

Don't take the weather shown on the flight path as accurate.

there were multiple bands running northeasterly , moving at 30-40 mph continuosly for 3 or 4 hours. The planes would shoot through a gap only to have to dodge the next band, it was never ending. Throw in the fact that the traffic flow is very directional in the northeast, some places where the planes would get stuck they could only go in one direction.


Worst part is this storm was nothing compared to late season.
