This is pretty off topic as far as airlines and what not goes. I saw a fake picture of a F-22 painted in Thunderbird colors which brought up a thought. If and when do you think the T-birds will transition to the F-22? I would assume its a very long ways off since the blue angles arn't even flying the Super Hornet yet (as far as i know) anyway, just a thought to kick around some.

As long as the F16 is in service, the Thunderbirds should be flying that... Unless they want to use the A-10 :)

Doubt they'd ever lower themselves to that, lol.

F-22 has enough problems just working as an airplane in front-line ops units......none of those pork-barrel planes yet available for any sort of loops-to-music duties yet.....and likely not for a while.

If anything...I think they'd switch to the JSF rather then the F-22 when they both come into service. Thats just my quick uneducated guess!

I remember seeing those pics of that guy getting chainsawed out of a cockpit of a F-22 that refused to let him out. He looked very vexed. Heh.

I saw the T-Birds take off in formation not long ago out at Nellis which I think is their base and it was pretty amazing to watch. Isnt the F-22 based at Nellis also? I have seen it a few times taking off from Nellis.
