A U.S. Air Force Thunderbird pilot ejected from his F-16 in a recent incident near Trona Airport in California, according to reports from December 3, 2025. The pilot ejected safely, suffered minor injuries, and was taken to a local hospital. While the incident occurred on December 3, 2025

Trying to find any story on it but saw it come across on the gram

guessing someone thinks all pilots are male unless otherwise stated … not saying it’s right by any means…..the pilot is the pilot…penis or not…

we had something similar at the Fed. You would always hear Chairman this, Chairman that….Along comes Janet Yellen. The title became Chair of the Federal Reserve. Chair Yellen, Chair Powell….

Everyone knew not to refer to Janet Yellen as Chairman of The Federal Reserve.

It would be ok if we referred to the current dude as Chairwomen Powell. Because obviously, that's how you say it.

If I had to speculate, based on historical reasons, I'd guess engine failure of some sort. That's normally the controlled kind in that airplane. But I have no idea, could really have been anything. Those seats are pretty good ones. Landing incident would probably be second on my list, or something involving the landing gear.

I met the guy who punched out after the USAFA fly by a few weeks before when the team was in Tampa for Macdill Airfest. I was hammered and regaling him with stories of flying my Cessna 172. Was a really nice guy and totally aware that he was living so many of our dreams. I think in that incident the engine rolled back due to some type of mechanical issue with the throttle. Glad he got out OK.
