I'm looking for some opinions on this idea, might be a way for some to take out some animosity against other airlines. Dont know who would do it, but I think it would be a fun event for sure that could get some going.

What if there was a yearly event of some sort of physical activity, battle royal, between representatives from participating pilot groups. Take a few pilots from a handful of airlines to attend the match somewhere, winner takes the bragging rights. Originally I was thinking boxing or wrestling, but that might mess with the gelled hair and be overly physical for some, maybe some other kind of event would be better suited... an all out dodgeball tournament between the airlines?

Think anchor man without the hand-grenade and trident.
 
Would you keep it regional v regional and mainline v mainline, or could the streams be crossed, so to speak?

I mean, you could do drag racing; but if you crossed streams, then you'd have something like Doug's BMW drag racing Seggy's AMC Gremlin, or something like that.

But Seggys gremlin would up owning Dougs Bimmer... We would
trick the hoopty out with Q400 parts.... Had a high school English
teacher that put a 350 big block in a stationwagon and would
challenge anyone at a red light... Moral of the story children...
Never judge a book or car by it's cover. :D:D
 
How about an arm wrestling match between CEO's. You know most of them don't work out. This would give them a chance to show who is the biggest and best contender.
 
I'd be in, but you know what sport I'd choose Tony...and I suspect I'd destroy pretty much everybody.

Oh, and I'd be down for whatever.

Or maybe a weekend golf tournament somewhere. An airline scramble if you will. Beer, Golf, Gambling in a professional environment would be fun. Maybe Doug should get on the Vegas golf tourney for JC 2010.
