Cold Ass Honky
Always fun to think about the day you hit the lotto and can get that toy you've always wanted. It also says a lot about a person's personality. So, let break it up into three categories:
Realistic: something that is actually obtainable based on your current or foreseeable situation, or a plane you already own.
State lotto: something thats probably going to be beyond reach unless you hit the 10 mil. jackpot, but you wouldn't be able to keep up off that lotto ticket for ever.
Powerball: 200 mil. in your pocket, go nuts.
So for my realisitic slab:
Hard to beat a 185 for speed and haulability. I thought about a 210, but i'd rather forgo the gear mx, give up 10 kts, and gain so much more. Throw a 550, big prop, and wing extensions and its really the most versatile plane ever.
My state lotto ride:
Go fast and haul. Sure, there might be more "practical" planes than the MU-2 like a king air, merlin, etc. but screw that. This is twisted steel and sex appeal. Real ramp presence.
Finally the powerball piece:
I know you might say WTF? that's it? Yes, a lear 25 isnt all that expensive relatively speaking, nor big, but its SP. Yeah, i just hit 200 mill, but i dont wanna have the hassle of having a pilot on stand by 24/7. I'd rather head out at 1am for a trip to vegas if the mood so struck me. I dont have enough friends for a G550 anyway. I'll just call net jets if i wanted to head across the pond.
So, whatch yall got?
