Those damn RJ pilots...

Why does everyone keep saying that the crew did a good job? Clearly, it was the pilot that did all of the work.

:sarcasm:

Nice job to the crew. I was waiting to see if there would be an easy victor at the end of the video, but no dice.

Remaining as calm an Sully? Are you kidding me... He lost both of his engines over a highly congested area where he was dealing with the lives of the people on the aircraft as well as on the ground. These two situations aren't even comparable in my eyes.... I hate the media, so very much. None the less, great job getting the plane on the ground safely:clap:

I wonder what caused the problem. I had an issue with a 700 a few weeks ago where I got a L MLG FAULT status message. The books says it means that the actuator valve is broken and the gear is going to stay in what ever position it currently is in. Fortunatly for us we were parked at the gate and it was in the down position

Nice job by the crew. I've always thought that if I had to not have a gear come down I'd want it to be the nose. At least that way you would be somewhat symmetrical as you set down.

Nice job crew....

ps... I cant believe it has been a few days and no Marcus jokes yet.... :) I was thinking it might have been him, but I remember hearing about the hard landings back when he started... That one was entirely too smooth ;)!

I've had people tell me, even here on JC, that everyone's opinion is valid.

Uh...huh?

As much as I always tell myself I won't read the comments at the bottom of the article, I just have to scroll down and witness that train wreck. I always regret it later. How do these people believe that they know enough about the subject to even put together a coherent sentence? Ugh.

Train wreck is too kind.
That flight intendent sounded out of control, as though that was the only thing she could do to keep herself from freaking out....
I fly all the time and have gone through several emergency landings...

Who knows. We had one of ours land like this in PHL last year and it was because some noob maint. guy rigged the gear wrong and one of the mains got stuck...literally stuck because of a bolt or something that was put on backwards.

The reader comments section of a news website is about a degree of separation from "Dude, pour some BRAWNDO over it. It'll make it work more gooder. It's got electrolytes and Bifidus Regularis"

Great movie. Unfortunately, I think that's where society is heading!

Good thing it was at JFK where the controllers could cancel the IFR for them. If it had been at an uncontrolled field...my mind can't even fathom how bad that would have been...:sarcasm:

Great job to the entire crew though!
