This will be an interesting investigation...

I am taking it here and in the lav.... I swear man. Fortunately tomorrow is another day. Unfortunately its also the day I have to go back to work.

During an accident investigation, the FAA is guaranteed to be allowed on the group party for the investigation and not be kicked off. That is the only 'special' treatment they get. The NTSB has to approve others to sit on the group party and can even kick others groups off an investigation. So basically during an investigation the FAA is like all other parties to the group.

That's correct. FAA must be allowed to participate. Everyone else is at the discretion of the NTSB.....

Edit: nevermind, I see MikeD got it covered. :o

FAA has to be allowed, but they are merely a group member. NTSB retains overall authority and can add or kick off anyone they want; UNLESS there's a crime involved.

Yeah, we are saying the same thing my friend. I do think though that the NTSB CAN NOT kick the FAA off the investigation. Cruise might know.

That's good confirmation. Im just glad to know that info hasn't changed, as I was talking off the cuff from old knowledge. So your post is appreciated!
