That was actually right before my birthday and most places that had their power out didn't get it back until after my birthday so all our plans got changed. Good thing power was back at the airport the day after for my fam flight.
 
I was at work at Sears when that happened. I worked in Asset Protection and as I watched the cameras, I was wondering why there were 50 people watching TV in the electronics department...

Independance Air officially dumps the United Express banner.

-Effective soon, all J41 ops will cease and the aircraft retired

-After 15 years under the United Express banner, FlyI separates itself

-All input/info will go to the FlyI website vs the old ACA website.

I don't know how many ACA captains are doing it, but I know of one who is upgrading from the J41 to the Airbus. Pretty sweet upgrade, as the J41 doesn't even require a high altitude endorsement!

Good god, that's a BIG difference in aircraft. Steam guages to glass panel, turboprop to jet, yoke to stick.....

Not too bad a transition. Here's one for you: When the New York Air National Guards' 105th Military Airlift Wing changed from their previous 105th Tactical Air Support Squadron designation in the mid-late 1980s, they went from flying Cessna O-2 Skymasters to flying Lockheed C-5 Galaxy's.

My cousin was a J41 Capt. and got upgraded to the RJ. I bet he would like to know who that J41 Capt. was that got the Scarebus.
