Thinking Of Bailing Out Of Training . . .

I wish I could say something to join in the party, but I can't. All the FOs I've had up to this point have been great. There have been a couple that got on my nerves, but none of the stereotypical types. Yet.

I also shouldn't talk, because I've been there, done that as the "know it all" 20-something wanna-be airline pilot. Luckily I had some great mentors shape me into who I am today. I still have so much maturing to do, but without them who knows where I'd be. Maybe these guys just need a positive role model to teach them how to be a mature adult. After all, they are only 22...

I flew with one of those types once, except he was my F/O. The ONLY person I have flown with that I have wanted to strangle. BTW have flown with several Riddle guys who were just fine. With time most of these guys get a few reality checks, pull their heads out and turn out just fine.

Hang in there Lloyd. The first year kind of stinks, but it will get better.

I don't mind so much flying with a guy/girl who is still on the low end of the learning curve, as long as they have a good, teach-able attitude. We've all been there. It is the ones who suck as a pilot yet still manage to reek of cocky attitude that tempt their Captains into thinking, "Hmmmm maybe I should fill out an unsolicited eval for that punk."
