Things to see in the midwest?

Trying to find some interesting places to go this summer while I build some time towards my commercial. Any one on here know of any events/cool things around the midwest. Going to Oshkosh already, I'd kinda like to go out to CO at some point but I'm still trying to find an airshow/fly in that I could attend for one of the days I'm out there.

Suggestions are appreciated.

The Corn Palace (worlds biggest bird feeder) is in my home city. If you do venture over there, ask for some other places in the Mitchell area. The town does have some cool things like the Indian Village.

Watertown SD is a cool place in the summer
KDSM
KDLH is beautiful this time of year
KIKV has a really nice taco place by the airport
KDPA has an insane FBO...Shaumburg in that area has a sweet restaurant

Fly in to KRAP and drive down to Mount Rushmore and see some history. Fly in to KLUK and catch a reds game for $5 to sit in the bleachers. Fly in to Tullahoma, TN and hit the Jack Daniels Distillery tour....Stay the night so you can have a few samples...KLEX for Keeneland when its in session or KLOU for Churchill Downs. As for restaurants: KEYE in Indy for Ricks Boatyard restaurant. Sikeston Missouri for Lamberts. Kentucky Lake for Pattis restaurant and a cabin on the lake. KOWB for Moonlight BBQ. Dayton Ohio for the museum to name a few...
