I once was at the HKG for like 17hrs. Also I couldn't get a transit visa so I couldn't roam around the cityI basically caught up with my sleep first, tried different local food that I could get at the airport(not the expensive stuff tho xD). Had a chat with a mom who was travelling with her kid. Roamed a lot at the airport. Also I spent a couple of hours just looking at the planes taking off and landing (yea I love doing this, idky).
Pornhub and Yelp..... besides spending some time at the gym thats what most of us do to pass the time for the 16 hours we get to spend on ( insert Midwest city here ) layovers. How do people spend their time on layovers that are several hours/even days?
A transit visa? In HKG? Are you from the US?
Daydream that I wish I worked a high paying 9-5 M-F and was at home instead. That goes away when I get back into the cockpit and work. Then go home and have nothing to do for 4-6 days at a time. It’s a vicious cycle that consists of drinking and stacking Benjamin’s.
Joking aside, I’m a beer snob and constantly trying to find new local microbreweries along the road. Getting close to the 1,000 unique mark on untappd!
Ya can't swing a dead cat without hitting a microbrewery in Maryland. Get a few layovers and a rental car. You'll see what I mean.
