There are other frequencies

Minus the DCA and phraseology that isn't close to as bad as it gets, pilots will tell you about the podunk town they are over, the year, color, and kit model of their homebuilt in initial call up.

My favorite all time call was the lost VFR guy who violated the SFRA and called the controller looking for help "over a replica of the Washington Monument"

"What makes you think its a replica?"

"Because we're not supposed to be over the real one"

Pilots violate that airspace all the time. I always hear guys asking ATC where they are...

Grrr, you just reminded me of my arch nemesis: King Air 5-7 Sugar Charlie...

A student controller corrected him the other day, it was hilarious "sir the correct phonetic word for 'S' is 'Sierra'"

I always say "Who was that?", but I watched many a controller lie about that one when they were having a conversation.

Trying to taxi out one day I called up and the controller said, "Sorry, I was telling a story (laughing in the background). Who was that?"
