The Wait for an Answer at USAIR

Whats that song by tom petty? The waiting is the hardest part? Thats what I am begining. I was wondering for those hired at USAIR, whats the shortest anyone has waited and longest for both yes and no?
Tomorrow is one week for me
 
No offense, but you're going to want to make sure you know who you are actually working for before you embarrass yourself if you in fact get an interview. USAir does not exist anymore. I'm sure you're probably referring to US Airways, but that's not even accurate. It's now American.

Good Lord Did that bother you that much? Ok, Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from United States Airways Formerly known as America West, Piedmont, Allegheny, Mohawk, PSA, soon to be American Airlines? I already interviewed and am waiting to see if I got it.

Really classy answer.

So is this the kind of personality HR is looking for at the Legacies? If so, I think maybe I do need to go back to corporate. I can't imagine a 4 day with a guy like that.

The longest I heard was a buddy who waited 10 weeks back last summer, shortest time I heard was <24 hours interviewed on a Friday called for class on Monday.

So, it varies.

I know the wait sucks. It's the single thing I dislike about their interview process.

And to rebuke the poster above, actually it's not American. They are two entirely different airlines, and your badge says US Airways not American.
 
Thanks, is the wait because there is no pool, so they dont call you until a class is available? Also, if offered do you fly to a base and do the background check then and they just call you after that is complete to confirm?

I think they hire into a class, so I'm guessing that is the reason for the wait. The class they are filling now is for July 15th.

When/where did you interview? Someone I know is waiting to hear he was interviewed first week of May, and folks who interviewed in the second-third week of May have already gotten class dates.
 
I interviewed last week in PHX, Thats weird how people that have gone after have heard. Im really hoping for July 15th!
