The ultimate senior prank

Gettysburg Bombed From Air — With Eggs
ASSOCIATED PRESS!
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Two teenagers were arrested on charges they bombed their high school with a bucket of eggs from a low-flying airplane.

During the incident on June 15, panicked officials evacuated about two dozen people from the top floors of a hotel when the two-seat Piper Cub (search) circled low over downtown Gettysburg, then disappeared.

"You hate to think what might have happened — even unintentionally," Adams County prosecutor Brian Sinnett said. He called the prank "one of the most bizarre cases that I've been involved in."

The two Gettysburg High students were arrested Jan. 7 on charges including risking a catastrophe and reckless endangerment. They were caught after telling others about the incident, authorities said.

They were not identified because they are juveniles — one 15 years old, the other 15 or 16.

Sinnett said the boys dropped at least one bucket of eggs on the roof of the high school, hours before the start of the final day of class before summer vacation.

"To the best of my knowledge, it wasn't even reported at the time," Sinnett said. "I don't know that necessarily saw it at first."

They also were charged with taking a Christmas wreath from Gettysburg High last month. The investigation into the stolen wreath, Sinnett said, helped authorities link the boys to the aerial egging.

Sinnett said the boys confided in others about the incident.

During the incident, police tried to signal the plane using flashlights. Fog and darkness prevented authorities from reading the tail number.

The airplane, which belonged to the father of the boy at the controls, apparently landed at a private family airstrip. The boy does not have a pilot's license, Sinnett said.

dumbasses, why did they tell people about it.

and if your 16 and can fly a cub more power to you.

Then again this is the media so they automatically refer to anything smaller than a Boeing as being a Cub.

An older guy I worked with long before I started flying myself told me about a prank he was a part of way back in his junior college days. He said that a couple guys got together and flew a small airplane over their football team's rival's campus before a game and dropped leaflets that read something along the lines of how their team was going to kick the other team's ass.

Dropping leaflets seems to me a harmless prank. I wonder how often malicious leafleting takes place?

My brother in law told me about something that some frat boys did at his school.

Durring the spring and summer they put on referee shirts and spread birdseed on the football field while blowing wistles.

So, on the day of the first game

Bah. I think we had the best senior prank. I went to a fairly small school- each class had around 90 people. So the building wasn't overly huge.

There are about a dozen entrances that go into the school (including one on the roof- it's a one story school). In the late evening, we all met with a bunch of pickup trucks. We shoveled the pickup trucks full of snow at various people's houses, and headed for the school after the janitors left. We proceeded to freeze all the locks and then packed each and every doorway with snow so it was flush to the sides of the building. Once the snow was packed in, we sprayed it down with water a couple of times so it had an icy shell. We even got the one on the roof- that took awhile with 5-gal buckets being hoisted up and down. We got the snow to the back of the building by people transporting loads of it in plastic sleds.

We spray painted "Merry Christmas from the Seniors" in the ice/snow packed over the main entrance, and went home at 3:30am (it was the day before X-mas break started).

Due to my senior class of about 110 already being on thin ice with the school's administration (for several "pre-pranks" before the year was up, among other means of..."relaxing" on school property

) we had to keep the end of year prank tame.

We all brought our dogs to school. But our furry friends had to be taken home at lunchtime.

We put 2x4's in the outisde handles of all the doors(during the school day). It locked everybody in. We then went and picked up small cars carried thenm out into the soccer field, and bunched them all up. We stayed around long enough to ensure everybody was safe inside the school. We yanked the 2x4's on the gym doors after about 20 minutes......But they had a hell of a time with the cars

I'm surprised the police didn't get involved. They certainly would of had here.

Bah!

My class ('94) beat that one.

Our HS had a parking lot that was shared between the seniors and the teachers.

However, we had like 300 seniors and not nearly as many teachers.

The catch was that you could park in any spot that was not numbered. Numbered spot were for teachers.

Well someone got some black highway paint and painted out ALL of the numbers.

When the first person got busted for parking in a teacher spot there was nothing that could be done to them since they thought it was a student spot since it didn't have a number.

IMHO here's why this was such an awesome prank:

- Turned the schools own rules against them
- It was simple
- Made the administration look like fools
- The school had to decide if it was worth it to spend a butt load of money to have to numbers repainted, and chances are (since they had highway paint) the money would have gone to the guys who painted out the numbers in the first place.
- And 10 years later no one seems to know who did it.

Yeah, here you would probably be facing multiple charges of false imprisonment.

Someone I go to school with recently put a sheep brain into the italian salad dressing. It was all supposed to be a prank, but the administration took it as a serious food tampering incident. The police got involved, so this kid faces criminal charges as well as probably expulsion from school. The story was scrolling on the bottom of CNN a few days back and it's in the news all over the country. Pretty friggin sick if you ask me though. Just go to google and type in "Vestal sheep brain". A bit too early in the year to be classified as a true senior prank. Just straight up stupid if you ask me becuase the kid screwed himself over. ewwwwwww good thing i didnt eat in school that day.

I think one of ours for this year might be able to top that off.

Some of my friends want to take a chain that came off of the anchor of a ship that his dad had in the garage and tie that around the automated gates to the faculty parking lot and put about ten locks around it. Only problem is that they might never be able to get it off unless they use the jaws of life or something like that and the administration won't play around with stuff like that.

Disclaimer: I, of course, will have nothing to do with the carrying out of this prank.
