The slow down

I don't know. I don't see this as a BAD thing, actually. It's a sad state when people are worried about the minimums going UP to 500TT.

:yeahthat:

At least as far as what I have seen at SkyWest, and it probably happens at other regionals too, there tends to be a slight ebb in things during the colder months. However, I certainly don't think we are done hiring. Nor do I think many other regionals will stop in the near future. (OK putting my crystal ball back in my flight case now. :) )

IHO the whole "ultra low mins to get hired," thing is unusual. Enjoy it/take advantage while you can. Personally I believe a 1000 hours is a GOOD minimum for all regionals.

I love how the slow comes right after I get hired..

Maybe I'll get to sit on reserve for a nice long while..

I flew 15 hours this month........

OUCH! Let's hear it for guarantee (for what little it's worth)!

Mins are still commercial multi for PSA...

And they never took anybody with that low time. There was one or two 350 or so, but most were 500.

Sooooooo that's it!! Why did they give me the B.S. story about we want you to teach GS for the CRJ when all they had to say was we want 350?

Should I reapply? Got a Shorts 360 type rating and working for a pt. 135 company.

Ha! Tram, welcome to my world this time last year. I was on reserve in MEM from about June until December last year. I think the MOST I flew was 30 hours in one month. The least: 12 hours. At least I had Thanksgiving off, even though scheduling WANTED to send me up to DTW to sit reserve. :)

Are the reserves flying much in ORF? If not I may bid it for October.

It's been moving and shaking recently (flew every day last month), although open-time indicates that it's going to slow down this sequence. I'll let you know later this month!

Yeah open time has gone down drastically. I'd hate to work every day on reserve, that would defeat the purpose :D!!
