The Possibility of Colgan

Here's what has happened, so far. My resume was "walked in". Chuck Colgan called my cell phone two days later. We chatted for about ten minutes. I actually made him laugh a bit. He told me to complete the online app, and he would "get me in on the next round of interviews." I finished the online app two days later (it's long) and submitted it. I got the automatic e-mail confirmation that it was received. That was Thursday morning.

So, how much time typically elapses from the time they receive an app to the time they contact that applicant? Truth is, I value the time to continue preparing for the interview. Studying that ATP material is taking some time.

Anyway, Just curious.

You may want to call them and let them know you finished the online app. I sent my resume in and also had someone "walk" it in and got a call the next day. I was told to do the online app as well. After I did the online app, I didn't hear anything thing for about 3 days. Then I called and got the official invite. I know they are very busy with resumes and Chuck is present at every interview, so I know he is VERY busy traveling all over for the interviews. Its very easy for you to get lost in the mix, so wait a few days, then give them a call. Just be as polite as possible and just tell them you completed the online app. and would like to know what the status is. Depending on your times, I'm sure you'll get the interview. We need pilots! Ask Seggy and he'll tell ya!

I'll be at LGA tomorrow for the interview. It took me about a week from the time I sent in my formal application on airlineapps(I actually e-mailed my resume to Cathy Angelo first) till the time they had my flight up to LGA confrmed. Pretty quick response time on Colgan's part in my opinion.....I spoke to Chuck Colgan on the phone about a day or 2 after I actually e-mailed my resume to Cathy and he asked me some typical "get to know ya" type questions. I'm kinda nervous but excited as well. We'll see what happens.......Any info is greatly appreciated and I did look up some gouge info on aviationinterviews.com from the past 3 months so hopefully it will help a little.

LIke airdale, I did the online app and didnt hear anything, so I emailed them after a week or so. Then they called me for a sim session a couple days later. Good luck.
