the official "waiting for FOL from MEM PEPC" thread

Basics is all the same but they tend to put terminal in classes together and enroute in classes together but it is not always like that. They mix them up sometimes too..just depends on what they have to work with.
 
Its been a while since my last post but I thought I'd share.

I got a call mon. 12-15-08 saying that I had a 2-10-08 class date. (this I had been told at least 2 times already).

They also informed me that my drug test was no longer valid because they expire after 6 months. And no FOL until I can get this done.

So if you have not gotten your FOL I'd call b/c you probably need another drug test. Heads up.
 
Been awhile since I posted on here :o. Found out that Mr Anderson is no longer my rep but it is a new lady, cant remember her name. But asked about a class date and she said the earliest she had for ZFW was in mid June of 09 :D I asked if she knew if I could get that date or if I would be going later than that. She told me she could stick me in there tenatively but since it is more than 6 months after the PEPC I have to re take the drug test within 6 months of the class date. Anyone else going to ZFW heard any different?

June is what she told me too......
 
This waiting stuff is rough. For the most part though all of you seem to have a great attitude. One random thing I thought about, there must be a pretty large demand for where you are going or not very many openings. Both of these point to controllers who enjoy what they do and are happy where they are at. If it was an area with lousy management etc. They'd probably have all kinds of openings with very few applicants. Good luck to all!
 
Got my FOL on Tuesday for ZFW...starting May 8!!! just got 3 more months. If anybody else is starting at the academy on May 8 shoot me a message.
 
Usually no more than two weeks prior to your start date. If you haven't received it within one week of your start date call them. If you will not be at your current address on file and want the package sent else where call them and get it redirected. (I did). It is usually sent FedEx overnight.

Did you ever call or e-mail someone to follow up or did you have something go wrong at the PEPC like the MMPI which you had to do additional follow up things for? By now you should have heard something either way, contact the person on your TOL and ask, maybe you "fell through the cracks".
