A SOLID find.
I love The Oatmeal.
Especially the part about the $25 bag fee.
When I was in Rome, a couple next to me upon hearing that we were airline pilots started complaining about the bag fee to fly from Manchester, UK to Rome on some unknown European LCC.
I said, "You know, first, it's marketing for the most part, second, how did you choose your ticket? Lowest price right?"
"Yeah but..."
"Well, Europeans pay to use the toilet in a restaurant that they're paying to dine in so it's probably not all that weird for them! Nice restaurant, pee for free. Corner bistro that serves steak frites, pee for pay"

Combine the person from each of these into one person and you'll get the lady I just dealt with 15 minutes ago while closing our SEA-JFK. Wouldn't let a guy sit next to her because she had been "promised" an empty adjacent seat on her full flight (of course, she hadn't been). Delayed us for five minutes until I told her if she didn't move her bag, I'd have the cops pull her off. Just the culmination of antics from her all the way from ticketing to the gate. Poor inflight crew's probably already zip tied her up in the galley...
