This is interesting. Because coming out and outright saying “don’t do (thing)” is an express ticket to a nasty meeting before a judge.
I agree. They would put themselves in a bad spot to say such a thing. The problem most people are having is that the BOD voter 20-0 against getting extra pay over the holidays. Not sure of all the exact details of what was offered I assume it was maybe close to what the FA's got. And now the same people that voted no are like pigs at the trough picking up premium. It was assumed that everyone was to stay out of PM. I personally never pick up PM/OG.

While I’m not familiar with the specifics of the situAAtion, I would likely reject—out of hand!—a short term band-aid as well.

I think I’ve flown one premium trip this year. It’s gotta be the right one to get my lazy ass in on a day off.

United taking a seemingly-candid approach while Delta does perfunctory.
As of 9:20 p.m. ET, Delta Air Lines has canceled 84 flights on Christmas Day while United Airlines has canceled 28. More flights have been canceled on Christmas Eve: 136 from United and 91 from Delta, according to flight tracker FlightAware.

Both United and Delta said a spike in omicron infections among crew members played a part in the cancellations.

"The nationwide spike in Omicron cases this week has had a direct impact on our flight crews and the people who run our operation. As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel some flights. … We’re sorry for the disruption,” according to a statement from United spokesperson Josh Freed.

Freed added that United is notifying impacted customers and rebooking “as many people as possible."

A Delta statement shared with USA TODAY said the flight cancellations were caused by a "combination of issues, including but not limited to, potential inclement weather in some areas and the impact of the Omicron variant."

The airline went on to say that it "exhausted all options and resources" before canceling flights for Friday.

"We apologize to our customers for the delay in their holiday travel plans. Delta people are working hard to get them to where they need to be as quickly and as safely as possible on the next available flight,” the statement reads.

(and don't think we didn't notice the casual slide into using greek-letter-names for the other variants)

Look I was in Frankfurt during the small riot…

3 people of Walmart getting wild/out on a Spirit flight because overhead bin space is at a premium just doesn’t move the needle for me.
