We were told that doesn't apply on flights. I believe our FOM has that same thing too. We’re not allowed to have earbuds in uniform in view of the public according to my FOM. That’s a nah for me. I’m not staring at the ceiling on a 3 hour deadhead
I’d have to double check but I don’t think our FOM has that little asterisk. We were told that doesn't apply on flights. I believe our FOM has that same thing too.

Even that doesn’t work. What about over the headphones on a deadhead? You gotta have something on to help ignore/avoid the barrage of questions, while your DH in uniform.
Even that doesn’t work.
Both are good ways to get tapped on the shoulder to get your attention. Honestly it doesn’t happen too much and when it does I don’t mind talking to people who are afraid of flying or whatever their deal isUgh. What about pretending to be asleep?
“No hablo Ingles!”What about over the headphones on a deadhead? You gotta have something on to help ignore/avoid the barrage of questions, while you're DH'ing in uniform.

I have a lightweight under armour pullover that I usually throw on for deadheading. I usually just have my stock apple headphones and don’t bring my Bose on work trips.
But it's always "I wanted to be a pilot but....."I would totally talk to a kid who's into aviation and has questions in a situation like that. When I go 121. I used to be that kids years ago. But all others might get the stink eye.
O yea I have no problem answering questions. It’s part of the job. Surprisingly, I’ve gotten a lot more adults to do a cockpit tour than children and teens.I would totally talk to a kid who's into aviation and has questions in a situation like that. When I go 121. I wear mine starting on the lot D bus, all the way to the gate. Ain’t nobody asking me where the bathrooms are! We’re not allowed to have earbuds in uniform in view of the public according to my FOM. That’s a nah for me. I’m not staring at the ceiling on a 3 hour deadhead

Happens like 90% of the time
I still don’t get it. Say it’s an AA flight. Dude from RAH just gets done flying AA flights all day and walks over to grab a jumpseat. Allegiant pilot is already there. (It’s that crappy airplane with 1 jumpseat). Why should the allegiant guy get it over a guy that’s been hauling AA passengers all day? He’s going after AA and AAWO, that’s a given, but afterwards it seems logical he’d be given priority over an OAL JS.I would be super embarrassed and pissed if i was a Skywest or republic guy. Letting some dumb lifers put you in this position because they have an inferiority complex sucks.
