Seriously. Get to an international carrier with cat-like quickness.
 
However, I "am" living in a van down by the river (ocean)...

The good news is I passed my first Capt line check, ONT-OAK, last night. I was really nervous (for no good reason) and I made a mess of the before start flows and checklist. It was all down hill from there, though (bad landings don't count), and the debrief was no big deal. I walked away thinking I have the best job in the world.

Still proud of 150 hours a year, though....

So what you're saying is, if you can get on with a Pt 121 carrier with a wet commercial/multi/instrument ticket, do it! Right?

Seriously, this opens up the whole end-justifies-the-means can o' worms. Glad you're having a good time, tho! (Just wish it were at pre-9/11 rates! :()

I'm doing an OTP, a TXL and an FCO next month. Whatchoodoin?

Something I learned. If you do the CDG on a sunday, the Monoprix is closed so cross the river past the statue and hit the "G20" for debrief room materials.

OTP/ACC/DUB

I used the pattern bid option in pbs for a 6-8 day on stretch with 12 days off. It worked great. I noticed only one other guy used it. Don't spread it around.

(avoiding two-man crews and SVO because my visa hasn't arrived yet)

It came out sweet too. I bid the 48-hour OTP layover on the weekend so Kristie can see Romania if she'd like.
