The big arrival in Phoenix

X-Forces

Big Black Guy
Well, my family and I finally arrived in Phoenix the other day.

After being here a short period of time we have come to realize something that we read about, heard about, and basically already knew.

IT'S HOT !!!!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

:)

I see a wardrobe change in the very near future....Like Today!!!!! :)

Look out mall, here we come!

That's alright, we can take it. We're lovin' it so far!!!

Glad to see you "survived" the move. ;) Congrats! Oh yeah, and enjoy the HEAT!!!! :D

Barely!! Thanks Pat.

I'll send it off to you in a few minutes. I'm glad we made it down here before you moved away.

Congrats on finally making it Keith!!! :)

Thanks Pam, now lets see what happens from here! :rolleyes:

Yeah, you'll have to give it to him 8 times before he stops loosing it!:rolleyes: Max still have our number or did you loose it again. Next time I'm going to brand it to your forehead!

Guess I'll have to drive down to central PHX and hand it to him!:)

This is the nice weather. Just wait until it is 115 during the day and the low is 100:yup:

At least you don't have to shovel HOT:laff:

IT'S HOT !!!!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

It ain't even, yet! I was out by the pool and found it quite brisk! Just wait until July! It'll make a man out of you! :)

Welcome to the "Valley of the Sun"!

Diagnosis: Oppressive Heat

Cure: Liberal amounts of cold Dos Equis Lager.

If you don't drink, well, there's always Canada! :)

(Dear DC Canadian Consulate: I mean that very lovingly, Viva Canada! Je suis Quebecois!)

Agreed, today was gorgeous by PHX standards. I had no idea so many people on here were from Phoenix, we definitely need to set up a meeting or something.....

Matt

Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone.... Get it "Warm" welcomes ya know, PHX is warm and... never mind.

Anyway, heat be damned, I think PHX is a place were we are going to be for a while. We really like it here, more so then we expected. Yeah, it's hot, but it is so easy to keep cool if you want. We went to a mall in Scottsdale this afternoon and almost froze to death as it was so well cooled. Everyone we come across is polite, like.. needlessly polite, the kind of polite where you wonder if you actually know the person?!?! I’ll tell ya, after living in Germany for a few years that goes a long way!.

So far out days consist of driving around the valley, checking out the area. We drove a 90 mile “Round the valley” tour today.

From Peoria down through Glendale, across central Phoenix along Indian School Rd (Won’t do that again without a vest!!!!!!!!!!!!!), over to Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, then back up north towards Deer Valley.

I suspect that once we find a house and we can stop living out of large bags on wheels we are going to like it even more!

The next best part is going to be meeting some of you folks in the area, so if you’re up for a beer give a holla!

Well, I have seen as low as $3.03 already (Not that this eases that blow much). However, like I mentioned in the last post, now that we have taken a drive around I already know a few areas that we don't need to drive through again (Without a M2 Bradleyfighting vehicle that is).

BTW, where are your digits?

Never goes above $2.99 at the Arco on the corner of 44th and McDowell! For some reason they just don't budge, but boy do they get a lot of business. I never knew a couple of cents could make much of a difference until now.
