I've been wondering about those. Saw them in a stopover store and liked the idea. haven't talked to anyone that has used them, though. Thanks.

Zulu PFX. I walked into Aircraft Spruce and told him to give me the headset with the absolute maximum noise cancellation. Almost had a coronary when he rung up the price. :) But damned if they aren't good. Almost every bit of the low frequency noise just vanishes. Makes the Bose look like a toy.

They're actually smaller than they look in the picture, quiet as hell and you can leave them on with the interphone off and still hear the other pilot clearly.

Hmm sounds like a winner. Now for the important question...is there an AUX port so I can listen to Katy Perry with them in cruise?

Uhm, I'm sure you *never* checked this, but: can it bluetooth in stereo while the a/c audio is mono? Just curious in a passive, 'would never listen to music while I fly' sort of way.

It's got a mono/stereo switch, I have no idea.
 
Thanks. Also, the microphone works for bluetooth for phone calls? I.E., the bluetooth is not just for listening?
 
Not sure about the mono thing. I'll have to check it out when I reposition the plane home in the next week or two. And yes, it will do Bluetooth phone calls, too.

It works for telephone calls flawlessly. I tested it before pushback during Chicago Snowmageddon during a call to dispatch this week.

Nice. I have the Zulu 1's. I really want to do an actual side by side with the 1's vs the pfx and see how much if any difference there is.

Does the PFX have an aux port? Reason I ask is because audio quality is usually crap over bluetooth just because the nature of bluetooth. The audio quality in my zulu 1 over the aux port is freaking amazing.

Yes, they'll do radio in mono and bluetooth/aux in stereo at the same time.

I didn't even realize there was, but now that you mention it, yep, it's got one. Good to know. :)
