The Age-Old Rollaboard Question

Just a strap that can wrap around the back. I don't have one and know very few guys who do.

I looked at the Stealth Air when I was bag shopping last year. I wanted to get it, but being a commuter decided I didn't want to ding up a nice $300 bag.
Um, the whole reason you spend $300 on the bag is so it can stand up to the dings of commuting. Plus, the dings are commuter street cred!
Do you know what the "stabilizer strap" is? I can't find that in the product description.
I've had it for years. Most people dismiss it, but it's a great addition. It holds your J-hook in place so your flight case doesn't slide off to the side.

I have a Briggs & Riley U21-whatever that I used for about 10 years before getting the ubiquitous stealth 22. Light, reasonably sturdy, and they will repair it free - for life. The bad news is that the repairs don't last forever, and I'm already in need of sending it back. And that can take about 8 weeks. So, it works well if you have 2 of them.

So - a good option still (I use it when I need 2 bags or don't want to look like a pilot), but I prefer the stealth 22.

OMFG. I've always wondered WTF the stabilizer strap thing was for, and I've never been able to find out.

Now I know.

Thank you!

For others not entirely sold on Luggageworks,I'm on my second Briggs and Riley. It's not as well made as my first one, which lived for six years, with the last two being much harder than the first four but it's much lighter and has a more compact footprint than my old one. Not cheap, but lifetime warranty like the LW bags. They knocked $200 off the price of the new one for trading in the old one.

I just got a new Briggs because the fixes weren't working anymore. They did knock nearly $200 off the price of the new one for trading the old one in. I don't think the new one is as well made, but it's much lighter. I had to use a $100 bag for a few weeks before the new bag came and it was just annoying. Didn't roll as nice, tipped over all the time and the strap couldn't keep my flightcase from sliding around.

LuggageWorks sucks and is ugly and you're an idiot if you buy one! B&R all the way. Even the Kirkland/Costco is better. LW looks like frayed sh^t after a year of use.

4x2?
Online at Costco, all I see is the Kirkland spinner bag. Are these things prohibitive in anyway for the discerning aviator? Seems like more crap sticking up in the bagge compartment making me need a third arm to load the golf clubs.
I know you haven't seen the inside of a baggage compartment in quite a while, but opinions are welcome from all. ;)
I have the 4 trucks with 2 wheels. Works great, lasts long time.

There are some field mods to the newer LW bags you can make to help them hold up a bit longer. The older ones used higher gauge materials, so they held up a bit longer.

So after about six months, take a look at where the wear spots are around the frame, and bolt on some aluminum L channel.

Pull the wheels off every six months and clean the crap out of the bearings.

My bag is going on 18 years.
