The ADX test

Airport Bum!
I know I have been off for a while and had to deal with some family problems out of state, now that I am back I plan on taking the ADX test in a couple of weeks. I have both the Gleim software and the Book and right now my score sucks when I take it and I have noticed a couple of things with the questions Ex. The distance and the fuel burn is more than the calculated answer, stuff like that I am noticing.

My question that I have is what other tips and tricks I should use when studying for the test? I am a lousy test taker, but this is one test I really want to pass. So far the AT-SAT is way easier than this test, lol.
 
If your answers are different than the FAA's don't be surprised. Some are just too close to call (ie performance chart stuff). I suggest you memorize the questions you mentioned in your post and move on. There is a ton of stuff to cover, don't get too hung up on one area. BTW I passed this week with an 80%. I prepared for 2 months, and took an ADX prep course two days before the test. One tip I learned here was to group the questions into two different areas: one group is made up of questions that don't require calculations or reference any charts, and another group contains all the rest. Take time to learn the first group by testing and retesting yourself on the Gleim software. In fact the CD-ROM has a feature that allows you to create custom tests, it takes some time to set up but it's worth the effort. Good Luck. PM me if you need to. I did not think of it that way, I am making some flash cards for the calculation portion of the question so I can learn the stuff, but that is a good Idea. Thanks, also how are things in that part of the state? I was just in LAL earlier last month dealing with business.
