Like tonight, I'm going to bed in the US, watching "King of the Hill" in English and not checking in with the politiburo for tomorrows political assignments.
Just got done watching Nightline. They had a piece on two life long buddies, that had died in Iraq several weeks ago. The both joined the Corp right out of high school and were stationed together in the same platoon. The made it through their first tour and were in the middle of their second. The only info the Marine Corp Brass gave the family was tht they were doing some sort of sniper duty. Nightline showed a video taken with their unit after arriving back in Iraq of a convoy. This was previous to their deaths. The camera is aimed at the hummvee in front of the one with the camera man. Several seconds go by and BAM! the humvee goes up in a ball of flames, from the hit by and RPG. I was horrified and at the same time angered by these insurgents. That has been the most graphic footage I've seen out of Iraq. The average citizen has no clue as to how much the guys put on the line on a daily basis. They deserve all the thanks and prayers.
