The solution to this is to fly trips that don’t give you any appreciable time in cruise.
Widebody domestic flying is my jam, not that i have a choice. MEM-ORD leaves only about 15 minutes of boredom. After doing the 10-14 hour legs stuff it's a nice change of pace. Hell my 7:30 crossing to Paris a few weeks ago seemed quick.
Yea that'll be argued both ways. Current place says no AFAIA, first jet job you had to hand fly in the 40s to please the LCAs.

If it’s built like a caravan, it won’t be sturdy enough or have the STOL capabilities of a true Twotter replacement. It might be close enough though.

I've done this several hundred times at least. The terminal environment is always fun....but the Caravan is so boring it takes that fun away.
I have 1100 hours in the thing. If the Caravan were a food item, it would be the blandest, plainest variety of vanilla ice cream.

I actually did that once at 160. Had to get a 360 on final to slow down enough. But it was technically an emergency at the time.

Just for the record, if a prop can do 250 below 10 and is driven by a freight dog, I can guarantee you it will give you more and better than I will in my fruity jet.

I rather enjoy standing at the bus stop in the employee lot watching purple vans screaming over the fence, it's a happy sound140? More like 165 at EWR. But not until GS intercept because the Van is so damn slow.
