seems that the new posts keep disappearing.. trying to figure out on what time interval they keep disappearing - anyone else noticing the amount of time between disappearances?

hmmm.. maybe it's here to stay now? anyone else having problems? speak up and tell us what your experiencing...

It's still here, hopefully here to stay. The loading speed is much faster on my end, and I'm running anywhere between 4.0 and 4.5 mbps.

Erik.

It's probably the only way I'm going to convince my users to return after a weekend offline is by having a faster server!

I'm SO pissed with the dedicated server people.... GRR.

Work got done, books got read, old friends found, new friends made, went outside...fun times had by all :sarcasm: ...don't ever go down again JC!

...and I still want the last 48 hrs. of my life back! Time spent waiting/finding other things to do waiting for the site to comeback up isn't fun.

:)

Sounds like a funner weekend than mine! I spend my weekend cursing, sitting on hold, asking "Dag Gummit! did you READ the trouble ticket sir?", trying to keep Kristie from going 'postal', Kristie then trying to keep ME from going 'postal', waiting, checking, tinkering with coding, recalling the server people, cursing, playing with the deep fryer! (WOO! Bufallo wingalicious!), cursing, cursing some more, saying even more things that my mother would say, "I didn't raise you to speak like no drunk sailor, boy!" (repeat)

...lol Andrew said he loves me...no big surprises there. Possible reconciliation in the works who knows...maybe...if so all thanks to JC server being down!

A whole weekend of work on the nightshift, no JC. Ughhhhh. My coworkers thought I was cracked up and jonesin for a fix. I actually had to work. All is well now!....:bandit:

Hey, I had an amazingly productive weekend. I got the Christmas tree up & decorated, the house decorated AND cleaned. I even started making chocolate chip cookies until a minor incident involving flour made me stop. So now I have cookie dough in the fridge with no flour in it. Boy does that look weird.

It's crazy what all I got done with JC down :)

Once the cold sweats & shaking went away, it seems I've broken the JC addiction. Maybe now I'll be able to limit myself to being here only once or twice a day!

But the question is...........How long will you be here each time?:D

I didn't even know the boards were down! I had a trip with a long overnight in Mexico and knew I'd be commuting home on an off-line carrier, so I figured I'd just leave the laptop home. Never got a chance to get on the boards when I could find a computer. Just one of those trips. Still debating whether I should bring my computer on my next trip, seeing as I'll be going overseas after it. But that means two whole weeks without it!

Amber, glad to see you could get the tree up. ;)

Actually, I want to thank whoever jacked up your server. I've got finals this week and without JC I was forced to study. Now I've just gotta pass college over the next few days...

By the way Matt, the mall across from the hotel in GDL has a couple of internet cafe's that are pretty cheap.

I meant to tell you, our GDL overnight was cancelled. We ended up diverting for windshear (almost had to divert from the diversion!), so the delays kept us from GDL. However, had an overnight in Oaxaca, MX this week, and that city is very cool!

Trying to get some more Mexico overnights for next month. Doesn't look so good on the bid pack though. I do like GDL, and Mexico in general. Forgot how to say "the check" in Spanish though! Did have enough to help the crew order food, drinks, and a taxi though.

The best food in Mexico is the little taco stands. Easiest way to order food is point and use your best spanglish.
