Test Prep

Just curious what you guys would recommend for the ADX written. I'm strongly considering the Sheppard Air material, I know most people have been extremely successful with their ATP prep courses.

I've also heard Dauntless is putting out some good prep products, anybody have experience with them?

Any advice would be appreciated, just gettin started with the studying.

Thanks

ASA Test Prep, Gleim, Sheppard Air are all good resources to use. There's no wrong one to use.

I've been using Sheppard Air. Its study strategy is very straight forward and to the point. FWIW, I've also used several of ASA's guides with success in the past for other subjects.

You don't need to study - just remember this rule of thumb.

When in doubt, choose the answer that is the middle value.

Ok - I'll admit this only applies to the answers that have number in them.

The Gliem actually had one or two questions with incorrect answers in them. I even showed it to the FAA (he sat in on our class one evening at Falcon) who agreed with me. It helps being able to back up the correct answer somewhere else.

That must also be an FAA thing, to have a correct answer, but the "more correct" answer is in there as well. Driving me nuts.

The ASA Prep Guide had some of those as well. It is definitely an FAA-thing as I have encountered it previous in other areas in the industry. There is the correct answer and then there is the answer the question is looking for.
