Position Description


As a Test Pilot in Flight Operations you will have the potential for the following tasks: Plans and conducts ground, flight and maintenance test flights for experimental, prototype and production aircraft to determine system functionality, aircraft performance and structural integrity of aircraft. Creates or assists or coordinates the development of technical reports, flight manuals and flight reports. Participates in the development of and coordinates on flight test plans, procedures and techniques to achieve qualification or certification. Contributes to and/or evaluates flight data (e.g., system performance, aircraft handling, and equipment malfunction) and participates in aircraft design to recommend changes to design based on operational considerations. Collaborates on marketing, evaluation and demonstration activities for customers; conducts familiarization, demonstration and training flights with customers. Job requires FAA ATP or Commercial certificate with the appropriate endorsements. Travel required.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have operational or test experience in anti-submarine warfare aircraft?

Do you have a 737NG type rating?



Typical Education/Experience


Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Other Job related information


Large aircraft flight test experience desirable. Air refueling experience as a receiver pilot desirable.
Military flight test, anti-submarine warfare, and weapons employment experience desired.
Graduate of military test pilot school or experience to apply for a DCMAI 8210.1 waiver required.
Travel and ability to work irregular work weeks as required by the position.
