Wheres that list of terminal facilities in all the states? Particularly Illinois...ran a quick search and came up short...:banghead: thanx in advance...
This is great info to all applying for the business and just getting their feet wet..... Good job dude!ARTCCs
Maybe sticky this post?
Guess C90 would take care of midway too then...I edited the previous post. O'Hare is tower only. C90 handles the radar.
thanx man :rawk:.... elgin would be a lot closer to everything I know but obviously a level 12 would be a hell of a challenge for a neophyte....
Definitely not looking for an impossible challenge bro. Even though it sounds impossible, you need to understand that a lot of guys have put aside a significant portion of their lives for the process of waiting and getting selected for this gig.if you are stupid enought to take a job at C90 there is a 95% chance you will wash out, OTSs have no business being sent to a very very complex lvl 5 tracon ,we all ready had 2 CTIs and 2 VFRs wash and more to come. and those were washed on depatures which is the easyest of the 3 lines, thell never send an OTS to SSAT you wouldnt make it through the lab.oh by the way those VRAs and CTIs were hireds almost 2 years ago.we also had a VRA quit because he said there was too much to learn, he never made it out of the class room and a controller from MLI just left because he couldnt check out. still looking for the challenge?????????????

And when you weigh in the possibility that turning down an extended offer puts you back into the loooong waiting list, a lot of guys would grab the first thing they are offered, level 12 or not. Is it a good idea to do it? Hell no. Bottom line is that it comes down to weighing what your current life situation is vs. the possibility that you're gonna wash out.
