Telex 850 in the CRJ

I also use the 850's in the CRJ. I began with wearing the 750's with earplugs and that was fine, however the volume would have to be turned up pretty far. One of the problems I also had was talking over the intercom with my flight attendant. Several times I had to ask for them to speak up in order for me to hear them. The 850 does not have that problem at all and if anything is maybe a bit too loud.

I also tried the Sennehiser HMEC 46 and to me that didn't cancel out as much noise as I had hoped. I ended up with volume levels turned up to about the same as I had on the 750's. I also found the battery pack to be more of a pain than I thought it would be. So those got sent back.

I hope this helps a bit.

Started with the 750's then went to the 850's....the 850's worked very well for me in the CRJ. There are others that are probably 'better' but they are also more expensive and more bulky.

Same thing for me..... started out with the 750's & earplugs...had to have the volumes turned up really loud to make up for the difference in earplugs, even though the 750's fit great in the flightbag.

850's do great with the noise suppression- and i continue to use them. Pretty happy with them.

I've seen alot of people use the DC's and other kind of headsets in the CRJ, but to each there own- i'm happy with the 850's for now.
