Takeoff Alternate for Part 91?

What day is it?
Ok, so lots of questions lately. Does part 91 require a takeoff alternate if the visibility is below landing minima? I was chatting with a co-worker and with all the horrible weather up in Iowa, does part 91 require me to have a takeoff alternate? My response was that I don't think so but I wanted everybody's take on this.

Nope. You only need a takeoff alternate under 135.

It would be rather crazy to not have a plan if you're planning on a low mins departure!

part 121 leaves me scared and alarmed, about the only time I ever open that part of the FARs is by accident ;)

In part 91 you can technically take off when it is 0/0...Is it smart, no, but it's legal (anybody correct me if I'm worng here)

We are Part 91 but, admittedly, a different animal. We're required by our standard operating procedures to have a takeoff alternate any time the visibility at our departure airport precludes an immediate return via published instrument approach procedures (taking into account winds, runway conditions, etc.)
