A very well kept J-3. Saying I had a blast is an understatement. Its a surreal experience flying with no intercoms, radios, nav aids, doors, etc.

Thought I did very well; worked on take offs and 3 point landings and they didnt seem too atrocious. Going back up Sunday :)

Thanks! Started two weeks ago, flew a '45 cub stripped down to the essentials (i.e. no electrical system) out of 3,800 ft grass strip. Gotta say, even though it only took 8 hours, I am deeply in love with this kind of flying. So incredibly fun

... a 3,800 ft grass strip? What the heck did you need the extra 3,300 feet for? ;) TW = most fun.

By the way, I bet that Brett Hull's dad is without a doubt, very proud. BobbyHullrampage ...

Just had a student complete a CP-ASEL add-on to his existing CP-AMEL certificate in our school's PA-18. He had a blast, and so did the examiner.

"Keep the tail behind the nose and the nose in front of the tail."

Technically, it wasn't stripped down. They all left the factory that way. Cubs are tons of fun though. So are their big brothers the Supercub. A Supercub with 180hp conversion is probably the most fun you can have in a Piper product. ;)

Got mine in a '46 7AC, and still fly it from time to time. Love that airplane. Real stick and rudder, no electricals, no vacuum, Hand-held radios because I like communication. If I were to own an airplane it'd be something like this.

To the op, did you do anything on a hard surface? That's where it's a little bit more difficult. Grass is easy.
