And who in the hell wants to live in KY?
I'm moved there from NYC. It was like living on Long Island. I loved the CVG/Florence area. Don't knock it until you try it.

I was with Southern when they relocated from Connecticut/Greater NYC area to CVG. For the record - the people that came along from the northeast liked living in the area.
Northern Kentucky is a bit of a snoozy place unless you live in Newport/Covington. I loved Cincinnati. Great town - a lot of revitalization and new investment. Lots to do and revisit. My wife and I occasionally mention how we miss it there. That may have something to do with the fact we live in ATL now, but nonetheless we found it enjoyable.

Sounds to me like you are kind of a D-Bag that expects to be handed everything because you dispatch 74s. Get over it. I dispatched 74s at Southern, I made a 60K-ish salary in CT and then the same in NKY. My money went a lot further in Kentucky. What's wrong with Kentucky? It's an awesome state. Louisville is an hour or so away, with terrific restaurants and an awesome nightlife. Cincinnati is great and is going though a re-birth.
I know guys (and gals) at all the majors, and we all work for the same thing---good benefits, fair pay, and a kick a** job that still brings joy to me every day.
Cmon...one team, one dream.

I feel for all the folks who bailed from Southern in CT and went to Atlas, anticipating the move to CVG, only to have the jobs wind up there anyway. It's even more of a shame since so many are from the NY area and have family working good jobs, etc. They probably won't leave. And they're really good people and professionals who would bring a lot of experience, character, and diversity to the office. I truly missed many of them when Southern relocated.
I just hope that some people who might want to stay behind because of preconceptions about the area might give it a chance or talk to some people who have lived there. And there were several folks (not all in dispatch) whose scales tipped that way on a final decision. Even though they would have been getting northeast pay, full moving expenses, etc. like they're getting now. I think it would benefit many to reach out to the Southern dispatchers in CVG and ask questions. Obviously, many will have positive things to say and may not be particularly critical. Yet at least it's a way to be somewhat informed.
I left Southern about 2.5 years ago and, while a lot changed after I left, the mainstays working dispatch were very very good people with good experience. I think most that stayed behind and didn't go to majors wound up in supervisory roles of some kind. The culture and surroundings will be a bit of adjustment for northeasterners, particularly the pace of life (and road urgency, lol). But I think the personalities and team ethic will work out well.
I wish the Atlas/SOO team nothing but the best. They deserve it.
but i hear there is some sweet relocation package as part of this TA
