As described in the "daily pic" thread, through a series of connections I am very honored to have the opportunity to fly & receive training with Nat'l Championship Air Racer, Dennis Buehn, flying his cherry T6's. He is a phenomenal pilot and all-around nice guy.
We started flying yesterday, and I can't wait to fly more with him this fall and winter. I am amazed at the handling of the T6. Very light and easy to handle. You sit really high in the canopy and the view is spectacular through half cubans! We took #33 out yesterday morning to wake up the neighbors and get the airshow started by dropping some smoke. I am starting in the back seat but hoping to move to the front after a few more hours.
I was also lucky enough to get the guys on the ground to video our pass and take few pics, before we really got going. Next month will be spent submersed in the manual and prepping for more training! Anyways, thought you all may enjoy my pics....Sometimes I really really really love my life...this weekend has been one of those times.
Getting ready to go
Headed down for runup with racer Peter Thomas in the #94
Inside, rear seat
Smiles all around
Our first startup of the day, burning off a little oil

Low Pass, Dennis & I in the first plane, throwin' smoke. (we were doing about 220 over the runway)
