Position Description


Performs systems checks on the ground and in-flight for support flights or functional test flights. Researches and confirms airplane configuration and status. Prepares and maintains aircraft flight test procedures.

Complete knowledge of airplane components, systems and terminology at a GenFam level.

[ + ] Aircraft Weight/Cargo
Complete knowledge of weight and balance calculations, theory and definitions.

[ + ] Flight Proced & Regulation
Complete knowledge of federal and International compliance regulations such as Federal Aviation Administration [FAA], Joint Aviation Authorities [JAA], International Civil Aviation Organization [ICAO], International Traffic In Arms Regulations [ITAR] flight operations and procedures.

[ + ] Flight Safety
Complete knowledge of company and industry safety initiatives and strategies to reduce the world aircraft accident rate. Knowledge of operational flight safety, including industry-wide current safety topics (e.g., approach and landing, upset, Controlled Flight into Terrain [CFIT]).

[ + ] Flight Theory
Complete knowledge of theory of flight, aerodynamics, and basic meteorology.



Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Are you willing to work scheduled and short notice unscheduled evenings and weekends?

Are you willing to perform domestic and international travel?

Do you possess a current, valid FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate or are you willing to take the Boeing Flight Crew occupational health exam?



Typical Education/Experience


Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.




Other Job related information


This position requires the ability to work scheduled and unscheduled work weeks as needed, this includes potential evenings and weekends. This position also requires the ability to travel domestic and international. A current FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate or Boeing Flight Crew occupational health exam is required for this position.
