Prediction. We are going to see 'flying clubs' where the club consists of maker enthusiasts building the air-plane from home using free software and open-source plans.

Materials are the bitch, right now, but in the year or so I have been posting about this stuff, the trend-line is looking good in both cost and production quality.

Some of the coolest prop noise I've heard came from a Staudacher GS300. IO-540 with a HUGE 2-blade composite fixed pitch. It had no more than 6" of ground clearance.
