SWA taking off with music over PA?

There is a reason people like flying SWA, it has largely to do with their culture and attitude. I've had fun on every SWA flight I've been on, a complete breath of fresh air. That said, it was not the best idea to do this. But holy crap people, calm down.

We're flying friggan airplanes, god forbid someone tries to have a little bit of fun once in a while. Talk to the FA and advise it isn't a good idea, let's not tar and feather them though.

"You're a professional, act like one!" Apparently that means you're not allowed to have fun either.

Having fun doesn't involve misusing safety equipment during a critical phase of flight.

Gotta FB message about this post. Un-wad your panties Todd. There was no threat to safety. In case you failed to realize, when the music was playing, the front PA appears to override the music. There was ZERO threat to ANYONES safety. That this was a threat to aviation safety is completely ignorant. State mans argument, at best. Chest thumping because you are so "high and mighty, I'M RICH BITCH," is more likely. Remember, you used to fly for Airtran, a far more budget airline than Southwest.

Take it up with the FAA if you think it should be allowed. It's not, and frankly, it shouldn't be.

P.S. Those AirTran customers have all flocked back to Delta because they can't stand the SWA product. I'm glad to see it. You never flew on AirTran if you think our product was less than Southwest's.

I flew on Air Tran, I preferred SWA's product

As Todd's sigblock says, you're still wrong.

Have a great morning, though.

They ran a flight I commuted on a bunch. The people, for the most part, were great. But a totally different caliber of passengers than Delta. I doubt most of them could afford a Delta ticket. Don't kid yourself. You flew for a budget airline. Delta isn't budget. They offer a quality product. Airtran had a bunch of clapped out interiors, that were usually a mess. SWA seems to keep their stuff fairly clean. You didn't work for a prestigious airline. You worked for Airtran, formerly ValueJet. ValueJet, nuff said. I may work for a regional, but I'm where you were once upon a time. What's your excuse?
